Quality Produce History |
Bruno's Quality Produce was
first established in 1946 when a 19-year-old Bruno Andrighetto
purchased a small grocery store on Grant street in San Francisco.
Within a few years, Bruno began wholesaling mushrooms from his
small retail market. With his growing success, in 1954, Bruno
took the experience he gained from his retail store and founded
Lee-Ray Tarantino, which would eventually become the largest
produce wholesale company in the San Francisco Bay Area.
After almost 40 years of ownership, Bruno sold Tarantino and,
still in love with the business, in 1994 launched a new version
of Bruno's Quality Produce which today serves as a wholesale
company specializing in the overseas shipment of straight, mixed,
and consolidated loads of the best produce and specialty items
from all over the world.
Still a family affair, Bruno, his son Joseph, his daughter Linda,
and son-in-law John who also brings an additional 30 years of
produce experience, run and manage the business with the care,
passion and attention to customer service and quality that became
the trademark of Bruno from the very beginning.
